1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Sukoon at arabictashkeel.com or any associated subdomain (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users — visitors, registered users, and credit purchasers alike.

2. Description of Service

Sukoon is a specialist Arabic diacritization (tashkeel / تشكيل) engine. It automatically adds harakat to Arabic text using a purpose-built AI model. The Service is provided as a web application and may in future include an API.

Sukoon is a tool to assist with Arabic text processing. It may occasionally produce errors and should not be used as the sole source of truth for critical content without human review.

3. Accounts and Registration

You may use Sukoon without an account. Creating a free account gives you additional credits and access to features such as chat history persistence.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Credits System

Sukoon operates on a credit-based system. 1 credit equals 1 word of Arabic text processed for diacritization.

Free credits

• Without an account: 250 free credits
• With a free account: 1,000 free credits

Free credits are a one-time allocation. They do not reset periodically.

Paid credits

Additional credits can be purchased at the following rates:

Purchased credits do not expire and are tied to your account. Credits are non-transferable.

5. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service for any lawful purpose, including personal, academic, and commercial use, subject to these Terms.

Prohibited activities

• Using the Service to generate or process content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or abusive
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying AI model
• Using automated scripts to abuse the free credit allocation
• Reselling access to the Service without authorization
• Interfering with or disrupting the Service's infrastructure
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations without notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The Sukoon AI model, software, brand, and all associated content are the property of Sukoon and its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

Text you submit for diacritization remains your property. Sukoon does not claim any rights over your input text or the diacritized output.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sukoon does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the diacritization output will be 100% accurate in all cases.

Use of the Service is at your own risk. Always verify tashkeel output before publishing or using it in critical applications.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sukoon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Sukoon in the 30 days preceding the claim.

9. Refund Policy

Eligible for refund

1. Verified technical failure: A confirmed bug or infrastructure failure on Sukoon's side prevented you from using credits you purchased, and those credits were not consumed. In this case, we will refund the value of the unused credits affected.
2. Confirmed fraud: Unauthorized charges were made to your payment method due to a security breach of Sukoon's systems, confirmed after investigation.

How to request a refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund under the eligible circumstances above, contact us at support@arabictashkeel.com within 30 days of the charge with:

• Your account email
• The date and amount of the charge
• A description of the issue

We will investigate and respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are processed within 10 business days via the original payment method.

10. Privacy & Cookies

What we collect

• Account data: Email address and name if you create an account (managed by Clerk)
• Usage data: Characters processed, for enforcing credit limits. No text content is stored beyond your active session.
• Local preferences: Theme, device, and chat history stored in your browser's localStorage only — never sent to our servers.

Cookies we use

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party analytics. We do not sell your data.

Your rights

You can clear your browser's localStorage at any time to remove all locally stored preferences and chat history. To request deletion of your account data, contact us.

Third parties

Authentication is handled by Clerk. Payments (when available) will be processed by Paddle. Each third party has its own privacy policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
